Dr. Raglan's Scientific-Minimalist School of Dead Frontier Weapons, Builds & Boss-Hunting

Scientific-Minimalist Guide to Dead Frontier Boss Hunting: Introduction

The routine of looting and grinding may occasionally weigh heavily upon weary survivors in Fairview. One break from the tedium is hunting Boss Zombies - whose size, speed, strength, and stamina make them formidable oppnents.

Because these creatures are imbued with massive health points, boss-hunters tend to opt for high DPS weapons. However, this can be counterproductive: Heavy Machine Guns are Very Low Accuracy weapons, so much of the "damage" may go flying into empty space instead of hitting the target. We advise our students that, if they can outrun or dodge an enemy, they are better off using single-shot weapons with high accuracy.

The recommendations in the following chapters will analyze the necessities for successful boss-hunting as students move from zone to zone, encountering ever more dangerous monstrosities.

HOW TO USE THIS GUIDE

The Scientific-Minimalist Guide to Boss Hunting is intended to be used as supplemental reading for the various Survival Courses taught at Zombie Hunter University (Survival 190: Nastya's HoldoutSurvival 290: Dogg's StockadeSurvival 390: Precinct 13Survival 490: Fort Pastor).

This text book will provide students with information that will help them in the fight against the most dangerous threats in Dead Frontier: Boss Zombies. Chapters will provide information on the following topics:

  1. Basic facts of Boss Zombies - strengths, weaknesses, locations.
  2. Effective strategies and weapons to needed to defeat different Bosses.
  3. Stat requirements to enable successful confrontations with Bosses.

As always with the School of Scientific Minimalism, this guide will emphasize the bare-minimum weapons and requirements. This may vary from student to student, depending on skill level, but by the time students have finished this guide, they should feel confident in confronting bosses without going broke to purchase the most expensive high-end weapons in the marketplace.

Although intended to be used in conjunction with course work, the guide stands on its own and may be used by students or interested parties not pursuing a graduate line of study.
